The NHS 10 Year Health Plan moves care out of hospitals and into communities of around 50,000 people. Multidisciplinary teams of GPs, community nurses, AHPs, pharmacists, paramedics and social care, wrapped around the cohorts who need them most: frailty, care homes, housebound patients, end of life.
That is the workforce question of the decade, and it is the one we are set up to answer. We recruit into neighbourhood teams across the country, and we operate them where our joint venture with ShropDoc holds the contract. Same model, different sides of the table.
